When Caroline Piasecki's ex-boyfriend posts their sex pictures on the Internet, it destroys her reputation as a nice college girl. Suddenly her once-promising future doesn't look so bright. Caroline tries to make the pictures disappear; hoping time will bury her shame. Then a guy she barely knows rises to her defence and punches her ex to the ground.

West Leavitt is the last person Caroline needs in her life. Everyone knows he's shady. Still, Caroline is drawn to his confidence and swagger - even after promising her dad she'll keep her distance. On late, sleepless nights, Caroline starts wandering into the bakery where West works.

They hang out, they talk, they listen. Though Caroline and West tell each other they're 'just friends,' their feelings intensify until it becomes impossible to pretend. The more complicated her relationship with West gets, the harder Caroline has to struggle to discover what she wants for herself - and the easier it becomes to find the courage she needs to fight back against the people who would judge her.

When all seems lost, sometimes the only place to go is deeper.

Reading this book was actually really hard, especially in the beginning. If you've read the blurb, you'd know that it deals with quite a serious topic and while I was excited to read it (I've heard lots of awesome things about it), I was also kinda dreading it. It was such an uncomfortable topic in my opinion, but in the end I was so HAPPY I read it. I fell in love with Caroline and West's story and I can't wait for more!

I felt so much for Caroline. I can't imagine having to deal with all that she went through but I thought she handled it beautifully. Yes, I was annoyed at her for her sometimes really stupid decisions (like, why would you do that in the first place??) but overall I really liked her. She was determined and never gave up. I would have died in her position. THE SHAME. Her ex was a massive douchebag and I wanted to kill him! Argh. Anyway, moving on to West. God, I loved him. He's just what Caroline needed and more. The romance in this book was awesome, guys. There was no insta-love or anything like that. I couldn't get enough of their interactions and banter, and the romance was natural, and flowed really well. If you like 'em really slow and perfectly paced romance, read this book!

I really don't have anything negative to say about the writing. It was pretty flawless. I couldn't stop reading once I started (and I told you how I was dreading it at first!) I also have to applaud the topic in this book. I hope a lot of teenagers will read this (and adults and pretty much everyone) because as we all know, it's actually pretty common and happens a lot these days.

Overall if you love NA (like I do) but also want something a little different to others that are out right now, you seriously need DEEPER. I am so anxiously waiting for the next book! :)
